This is an excellent opportunity for students who are outgoing and interested in outreach. Students will take their campaign into the downtown area of State College and will present it to the general public.
This project involves students working with the outreach counselor from the Planned Parenthood office to engage in a dynamic campaign to encourage community and student awareness around issues of safe sex and the services offered by Planned Parenthood. Awareness activities include various activities such as staffing a campus table in the HUB and passing out contraception during a pub crawl. Students will learn how to facilitate a group discussion before taking the project to the public. Students are expected to present/ facilitate a presentation to fellow students in this class and to another group of their choice.
